Today I filed another IRS Form 14039 for my wife under her Social Security number. It had never occurred to me that I ought to file under her name alone since we always filed a joint tax return. Can the bad guys file a fraudulent return under her name alone and steal "my refund" even though I am the taxpayer that has the withholding done in my paycheck?
The form is so easy to sill out and submit that I decided that it didn't make any difference to me, so I am faxing out the form today
